Our Story
The ministry of TGCC was birthed from a burning desire to help reach a generation that has been abandoned. December 2017: Pastor Hendley and some of his colleagues was having a meeting when the Lord confirmed the name of the ministry.
July 2018: The Generation Christian Center became official with the IRS. July 2019: Pastor Hendley had a meeting with the original CORE Team members (Kim Hendley, China Morton, Chubbs Morton, Dawn Turnley, and Tremaine McKinney) in Clarksville, TN at Panera Bread.
August 2019: TGCC officially launched with Bible Study up until the first service which was held on March 1, 2020, at the Wyndham Garden Hotel later on in March 2020 TGCC obtained its first building (1000 sqft) on the corner of Bethel and Seventh Street in Downtown Hopkinsville in which we began to outgrow in little to know time. In January 2021 TGCC moved to a location on Main Street which was over 3500 sqft. God was doing something at TGCC to the point He told us to go back to square one and we have been serving at Wyndham Garden which is now Clarion Pointe. November 2022 the Lord open up a space at 1007 S. Virginia Street in the heart of downtown Hopkinsville which was our place of worship. God then opened a more permanent space that opened more opportunities for TGCC to grow beyond what we have in mind. We are excited for this next chapter of growth for The House of Impact for Hopkinsville, KY. & surrounding cities.
